Big Weekend for Warriors

Hey Warrior fans, Coach Moore here with a look at our up coming games with Wayne St. and Augustana College. Obviously this is a huge weekend in our conference as each team is trying to position themselves for a late run to win the regular season conference championship and to host the conference tournament. Things are still very wide open as far as the conference race is concerned and all it takes is one bad weekend by any of the top current teams to turn this entire conference race around. In knowing this our guys know they cannot worry about anything else other then tonight's game against Wayne St.

The last time we played the Wildcats we were able to come away with a 85-76 win. The victory was a tough battle that was not decided until the last minute when we were able to hit free throws down the stretch to seal the deal. This game will again test us on both ends of the floor and we must play a full game to come out with a win. Some keys to this game will be: We need to rebound the basketball. Last weekend our effort was terrible and this showed as we were out rebounded by 22 against NSU and then the next night against a very short team we only won the rebounding battle by 7. Our effort overall this weekend has to be much better but our is going to be a huge key to this game. We cannot allow them second and third chance opportunity and we need to get ourselves more then one shot on the offensive end. The next key will be our energy level. Like I said earlier our effort last week was terrible and part of it was our energy level was so low. We were moving a step slower then usual and we cannot allow this to happen again this weekend. Hopefully being at home and having a full house will give us a boost for our energy level but at the same time we cannot relay on the fans for this we need to find it on our own. The final key to this game will be executing on the offensive end. The past couple of weekends our execution on the offense end has not been the best. We have been settling way to much for outside shots and shooting too many shots early in the shot clock. This weekend we need to execute what we want to do on the offensive as we need to stay patient and work for a great shot every time.

Tonight's game should be another great one and I hope to see every wearing white at the game. Go Warriors!!!!
