Warriors Set To Battle A New Pack of Bulldogs

Hi everyone, Coach Moore here with another check in our Warriors and our next opponent, the Truman St. Bulldogs.

The game tomorrow night should be another great game. Truman St. comes into the game with a current record of 5-3. But do not think they are not a good team. The Bulldogs have a ton of fire power and come from a conference that is regarded as one of the top conferences in all the Division II in the MIAA. The last opponent the Warriors faced from the MIAA was Central Missouri St. and we all remember how good of a team they had.

As for the Bulldogs, they are lead by a pair of seniors in Patrick Fandja (6'6) and Banks Estridge (6'3). Both players are currently averaging 12 ppg for the Bulldogs and Fandja is leading the teams in rebounds as well with over 7 rpg. currently. Fandja will play both inside and outside for the Bulldogs working high and low with another talented forward in Ethan Freeman (6'5). Freeman is currently second on the team in rebounds also at 7 rpg. Estridge is one of the main outside threats for the Bulldogs who go with a variety of different guards who can all shoot it. Another guard to keep an eye on during the game will be Alex Henderson (6'1). Henderson runs to point position for the Bulldogs and is a very talented outside shooter that the Warriors must contain and not let him get open looks.

A couple of keys to this game for the Warriors will once again be the tempo of the game and rebounding of the basketball. The Bulldogs are very patient on the offensive end and will run down the shot clock looking for that one open shot. They run a ton of motion and the Warriors will need to again be patient defensively and let the Bulldogs make the mistakes on their own. In the last game the Warriors did a great job on defense of holding the opponent to one shot, then getting a rebound, outlet pass down the floor for an open look. We will once again need to push the ball when given the opportunity and make Truman get up and down the floor. In the rebounding category the Warriors will again be playing a team that rebounds the basketball very well. Truman St. is currently out rebounding their opponents by over 5 rebounds a game. The Warriors will have to have the same type of effort on the boards as they did on Friday and Saturday night to keep pace with the rebounding numbers that Truman St. can put up.

This will again be a great test for the Warriors to see if they can carry over a wonderful effort on the road this past weekend.

Go Warriors!!!
